Ameriquest Field in Arlington.

Went to a ballgame in Arlinton yesterday. Got to see the Texas Rangers play the World Champion Boston Redsox. I must admit the Rangers are doing pretty good at the start of the season, I hope they don't fade away again just like they been doing since I've seen them play. The result of that nights game was Rangers 7 - Boston 2. In a nutshell, the weather was cold (57deg) , and with me just my shorts and a light jacket on, but can't complain only paid $5. So, I suppose I'll be going to more games this season. Alohaz---

Fort Worth Art Festival

This pass weekend it was a beautiful day for the annual Fort Worth Art Festival. Took the train from North Richland Hills to FW, because of the high volume turnout every year and searching and paying for parking gets to be a pain in the ass. All in all we just paid $1 to travel there. At the festival there were games for the kids, a lot of eye candy (many pastey women), food, live band, show acts, and most of all art from independant artist who trying to hit it big. My friend saw a Beatles painting selling for $2500 ea. In a nutshell, got to see GREAT! vision even had a girl offer me her granola bar ;) . Not sure what that meant but I never turn down a granola bar. Here are some pix Enjoy and Alohaz--

Dream Cafe.

Dream Cafe.
:) Heehehehee....Yes, I am still alive. Just that I have been lazy blogging lately, and thanks for those people who stopped by and leaving a comment or 2. Anyhoo, thought I'd blog this because its very meaningful for me.
Met up with C. this morning to have breakfast. We planned this event since Monday. I asked if she and I wanted to meet for breakfast and she came up with this quaint place called the Dream Cafe off of downtown Dallas at about 7am. As for me not being use to Dallas driving I had to get up about 5am in the morning to get ready and beat the traffic, it was a 35 minute drive. (the traffic off of I-35E south can be very horrific most of the times). Anyways, got there about 6:40am and got time to spare, she called me up and let me know she's sitting in a small traffic but will be there a little late, so I bought a paper to read. As I read, I haven't noticed her pulling up along side me, not up until she opened the passenger door and sat down, we greeted each other and she was looking beautiful as usual (she has this certain charisma that I can't quite describe which I find very attractive) in my eyes. With Joss Stone softly playing on my stereo we talked a bit and read the paper. Then it was 7am the cafe opens, she picked a booth away from crowds and the door. We had our coffee, she has hers like the way I do (2 cream 2 sugar depends on the size of the cup). She ordered 2 over easy eggs, hash browns and toast, as for me I had a make it your damn self breakfast burrito. The conversation was humorous mixed with thoughts and some touching. There's this one incident that she had a small speck of food on her upper lip, didn't know why (up until later I knew) but I reached out and rubbed it off. I guess I just wanted to touch her soft warm face. In a nutshell, I've never seen her laugh so hard, at me being silly, which I thought it was a good thing. After breakfast at the parking lot, a part of me leaped up and gave her a hug or more of an embrace which she reciprocated as well. It felt like eternity or time just stood still, I guess it was as the name of the restaurant implied Dream Cafe. :) So, I believe that it was more of an embrace than your casual hugs. I've always wondered if theres such a difference between the two?? On my way home I smiled and no problem of the day could EVER take that moment from me .

Lazy Sunday Afternoon.

This pass Sunday, I hung out with my buds at Arlington. First, I'd like to say that I didn't realize how far the drive was from Fort Worth to Carrollton and vicesa versa. About 50 minutes. I just realize people here spend most of their lives driving here and there and oh boy with the gas prices soaring, its going to hurt the pockets alot more. Anyhoo....got to his house about 10am to go search for some rims for his car and mines. Found some that fits my car for a fairly decent price, and he didn't find any, we drove to a couple more then we finally gave up. Just to be off track, at the salvage yard notice a big burly man driving up still flashing the good'ol confedarate flag, I guess some people haven't changed. He saw me and I gave him a nod and he just turned and walked away. After the salvage yard trip, we (Chris, his fiancee, and I ) headed back to Chris's house and started to clean my car, his car and his fiancee's car. We (Chris and I) did a real quick trip on washing them and we did a great job. Then we decided that we were going to pick up Broyles after work so he can join this hoopla, then we waxed the 3 cars (which I say was the hardest part). Chris's Mom decided to cook up some burgers and made a hell of a potato salad. In a nutshell it was a very memorable day. To say the least in Hawaii we would go to the beach and BBQ with friends and family and in Texas we tossed the football around on the road and BBQ out on the lawn. Either way as along as your with the people you care about thats all it matters. Oh! as a clincher: I am Chris's Best Man on his wedding.
